Report: Liverpool And Bayern Tabled Summer Bids For Juventus Star Federico Chiesa

Reports have re-emerged suggesting that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich put offers on the table in the summer transfer window for Italy's Euro 2020 star Federico Chiesa.

The 23 year old forward is currently in the second season of a two year loan deal from Fiorentina to Juventus.

Liverpool And Bayern Interest

Tuttojuve have reported on behalf of Italian journal Il Giornale that Liverpool did in fact place a bid for the Italian international in the summer confirming what was said in reports a few days ago.

They also claim that Bayern Munich were interested and both clubs may have tabled offers between €80million and €100million.

Juventus To Secure Deal?

It looks as though Juventus will be keen to secure the pre-agreed deal for Chiesa when the loan deal completes.

Chiesa is likely to be a superstar for club and country for many years to come and there is no doubt the Old Lady will want the situation resolved sooner rather than later.

They will be working with La Viola over the coming months to finalise the deal which will cost them €40million plus €10million add ons.

LFCTR Verdict

Whilst this is a transfer that I am sure Liverpool fans would love to see happen, it seems an unrealistic one with Juventus having the agreement in place to buy from Fiorentina.

It is impossible to believe that the team managed by Massimiliano Allegri will not push forward with the deal for a bargain €50million in total.
