With the transfer season well and truly underway, there are rumours for every team with plenty of players being linked from all over Europe.
Due to Liverpool's stature and size nearly every player available on the market is linked to the club, which is why the transfer window is often known as silly season.
That is why some may laugh off the reports of Liverpool being interested in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
However according to CorSport Liverpool have not stopped their pursuit for Dusan Vlahovic with Fiorentina demanding 'huge offers' for the Serbian striker.
So why would this report seem a bit far off?
Well, Vlahovic is the complete opposite of what Klopp has used in attack since he has been Liverpool manager.
As a tall target man spearheading the attack, Vlahovic has done an instrumental job at Fiorentina in the 2020/21 season scoring 21 goals in the league.
Jurgen Klopp had a tall target man who was a prolific goalscorer in the league when he first joined Liverpool.
The big Belgian ended up being frozen out by Klopp as Roberto Firmino was favoured in the false nine role which was obviously the right decision as the Brazilian has made himself a Liverpool legend.
In his first summer transfer window Klopp decided to sell Benteke and since then Liverpool haven't had a typical target man.
Vlahovic may not be your typical target man but he could also be a fantastic 'plan B' when struggling to break teams down.
Supporters have seen in the past season how Liverpool have struggled to break low block systems down due to their horrid record against the sides in the bottom half.
Roberto Firmino's output has slowly but surely decreased over each season, so a natural goal scorer who could get on the end of Trent Alexander-Arnold's and Andy Robertson's crosses could be a very smart signing.
It would ease the pressure on Firmino and it would bring an completely different dimension to the attack.
Even though it would be easy enough to assume Vlahovic is a target man, the old age term 'good feet for a big man' can very much be associated with the Serbian.
Plus, at just 21-years-old, he will have plenty of time to adjust to any role that Klopp may want him to learn being the focal appoint of the forward line.
He could fit in well regardless of learning the role with the Serbian often dropping in deep and using his physicality to win the ball and carry it forward just like Firmino can do.
Also who was that tall physical striker that Jurgen Klopp worked with and won the German league with at Borussia Dortmund?
Oh yeah, Robert Lewandowski.
The only slight issue with the potential transfer is the price with Fiorentina wanting 60 million euros.
With the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi expected to leave Liverpool this summer, it does free up room for another addition in the attacking area.
Vlahovic would certainly be an exciting addition if it were to happen as he is a raw talent so Klopp could turn him into one of the best just like he did with Lewandowski.
