Georginio Winjaldum is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
This will leave Liverpool short handed in the middle of the pitch and the Reds will surly look to replace the Netherlands midfielder.
Jurgen Klopp's side have been linked with several possible replacements.
While all of these players have been strongly linked with moves to Liverpool this summer, new reports that the club are in talks with a Premier League midfielder.
Liverpool In Talks With Youri Tielemans
According to TV 2 Danmark journalist Daniel Nielson, Liverpool have opened talks with Youri Tielemans over a possible summer transfer.
The journalist took to Twitter to discuss the possible transfer.
"Liverpool are in talks with Tielemans. Current fee to high for Liverpool Football Club but they will negotiate a lower fee. Deadwood will also be sold to fund the transfer and other upcoming transfers. The player is happy to join Liverpool Football Club so contract is not a problem. Will battle other teams though."
Previous reports from Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad state that Youri Tielemans was 'devastated' that Leicester City did not finish in a Champions League position.
Other reports have claimed that the midfielder has just a 30% chance of staying with Leicester this summer.
Nielson also said that any potential deal for Tielemans would not be completed until after the Euros.
Tielemans who had a very impressive season with Leicester, would not come cheap. If Liverpool can talk the Foxes down, expect the transfer to pick up pace.
