Reports from Tuttosport are suggesting that Liverpool have an interest in Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The 21 year old is highly rated across Europe and Tuttosport claim Liverpool are therefore likely to face competition from Juventus and Chelsea should they wish to pursue a deal.
Juventus held an interest in the France international player last summer but it seems as though the fight for his signature may hot up in January but more likely next summer.
Tchouaméni has already made three appearances for Didier Deschamps' senior France team and is likely to feature when they face off against Belgium on Thursday in the UEFA Nations League.
Interestingly the clash between Les Bleus and the team led by Roberto Martinez is being held at the Allianz Stadium in Turin where Juventus play their home matches.
The player started his career at Bordeaux before signing for Monaco in January 2020 for a fee reported to be in the region of £16million.
It took the highly sought after youngster a bit of time to establish himself at Monaco. Once he forced his way into the starting XI however, he hasn't looked back making 60 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, scoring five goals and assisting four times.
At 187cm, Tchouaméni is a strong physical presence who can play either in a destructive defensive midfield role or further forward as a box to box midfielder.
Having made the breakthrough into the national team at such a young age, it is clear that he will have many admirers across the continent. It will therefore be interesting to see if interest from Liverpool does materialise in January or next Summer.
