The Reds have been trying to sell a lot of their fringe players as they look to help balance the books after the effects of the pandemic.
Liverpool have already sold Marko Grujic for £10.5million, Harry Wilson for £12million and a few more youngsters whose time was up at Anfield.
In recent hours too, Xherdan Shaqiri has requested to be sold and a number of clubs look willing to pay the £12million required to persuade Liverpool to sell him.
These aren't the only players who will potentially be sold though. Liverpool seem open to selling numerous players as long as the right price comes in.
However, with all these sales, Liverpool fans were hoping that the Reds would be bringing in a midfielder to help soften the impact of Gini Wijnaldum leaving.
One of the main players who has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer is Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid.
Saul's time at Atletico seems to be up. Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Liverpool have all been linked with a permanent move for him.
Atletico Madrid are looking for €40million for the Spanish midfielder after they have already signed Rodrigo de Paul to replace him.
Despite the interest, it seems like if Liverpool want to sign Saul this summer, they will have to sell another midfielder according to Simon Jones from The Daily Mail.
This may be disappointing news for Liverpool fans after they were hoping the sales of Wilson and Grujic would help fund a move for a midfielder.
