Liverpool have been very active in their pursuit for players this summer. After a very up and down season, the Reds are due for a squad overhaul with plenty of deadwood set to leave the club this summer. One of those players who has been repeatedly linked with a summer Anfield exit is none other that Champions League hero Divock Origi.
Divock Origi has been linked with a host of clubs ahead of a summer transfer away from the Merseyside giants including; Inter Milan, Real Sociedad, Borussia Dortmund and now Celtic.
Anfield Central are reporting that Divock Origi has been offered to Celtic in a cash plus player deal for Odsonne Edouard. Edouard, who is a former Paris Saint-Germain product, joined Celtic permanently in 2018 after impressing on loan the previous season.
The 23 year-old forward has scored 16 goals and provided a further five assists in 26 Scottish Premiership appearances for the Glasgow giants. In all competitions, the French national has 20 goals and six assists. Three of those goals have come from six matches in the Europa League, so he has plenty of European experience.
Divock Origi, on the other hand, has completely fallen out of favour for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool. The Belgian striker has featured just nine times in the Premier league for a total of 181 minutes and has amassed just one goal and two assists in his 17 appearances for the Reds this season.
Will the Reds use Divock Origi as a bargaining chip to bring in another striker this summer?
