The Reds have made just under £30 million in transfer sales so far this summer (£29.6 million to be exact).

After failing to do so last summer, Michael Edwards has orchestrated a series of transfers in the last week.

Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic and Taiwo Awoniyi have all left Liverpool on permanent transfers.

Harry Wilson has joined Championship side Fulham for £12.60 million and Marko Grujic joined FC Porto where he spent last season on loan for £10.5 million.

Taiwo Awoniyi, who failed to register a single appearance for Liverpool, joined Union Berlin in a £6.5 million transfer.

With these funds, Liverpool have set themselves up nicely to make another impressive transfer following the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

Melissa Reddy has said that Liverpool Football Club are actively looking to sign a new midfielder and a new attacker this summer.

The Reds have been linked with a host of players in each position.

For attackers, Liverpool have been linked with Dusan Vlahovic, Kylian Mbappe, Jeremy Doku, Raphinha, Federico Chiesa and Donyell Malen who has since joined Borussia Dortmund.

The Merseyside giants have been linked with a handful of talented midfielders as well.

Among those linked with Anfield transfers include Houssem Aouar, Renato Sanches, Youri Tielemans and most notably Saul Niguez.

According to AS, Liverpool are preparing a €50 million (£41m) bid for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

As claim that this bid would be large enough to see Saul join Liverpool.

Previous claims have reported that Jurgen Klopp himself has requested that Saul be brought in this summer to replace Georginio Wijnaldum.

If Liverpool do indeed sign Saul, they may well be favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
