The search for a new striker continues and Liverpool are now searching in the Serie for what could become their next signing, with Divock Origi not being able to make a difference this season in the striking department.
According to recent reports from Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool are one of a number of top clubs keeping an eye on Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian forward has a contract with the Italian side for two more years, and has been named by many as one of Serie A's most promising players this season.
The newspaper continues the report stating that Fiorentina are working hard on getting a contract extension; with sides like AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, Real Madrid and Liverpool all interested in the 21-year old.
Fiorentina are hoping to include a 40 million-50 million euros release clause on his contract, as well as giving him a substantial increase on his wages.
Vlahovic has scored 15 goals and two assists so far this season in the Serie A, and has proved to be ready to take the next step on his career. His 6'3 commanding presence is one of his best attributes, and his threat for goal is one that has alerted many top clubs around Europe.
The Italian side are very realistic about his situation, and are aware that with many suitors trying to get a hold of their star man inserting a release clause as low as 40-50 million will be enough for them to cash in on him while giving Fiorentina a substantial amount for his sale.
