Liverpool are hoping to fill several holes in the squad during the summer transfer window.
The Reds already addressed and improved one glaring weakness with their first summer signing.
Jurgen Klopp's side announced the signing of Ibrahima Konate from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in an effort to avoid another defensive injury crisis next season.
After a season that saw first team defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all go down with season ending injuries, bringing in an additional centre-back was almost a guarantee.
Another signing that seems to be a shoe in would be a midfielder to replace FC Barcelona bound Georginio Wijnaldum.
However, Liverpool also need to improve their striking options as Divock Origi is set for an Anfield exit this summer and if reports are to be believed, the Reds could be close to signing his replacement.
Liverpool To Sign 27-Goal Striker
According to todofichajes, Liverpool are set to make Patson Daka their second signing of the summer transfer window.
The Spanish outlet claim that Liverpool will announce a deal for the Zambian striker in the coming days.
Patson Daka has caught the eye of many clubs across Europe including Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham United, RB Leipzig and Arsenal; all who were interested in Daka's services.
Patson Daka had a season for the history books and scored 27 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Liverpool will be hoping that Daka will follow in the footsteps of sensation Erling Haaland who went on to have immediate success after moving from RB Salzburg (Daka's current club) to Borussia Dortmund.
The report says that Liverpool and RB Salzburg are ironing out the fine details of the transfer and the deal will be announced in just a few days.
