The latest report from Mundo Deportivo, as reported by Sport Witness, suggests that Jurgen Klopp may push out some of Liverpool's stars in order to fund the signature of Erling Braut Haaland.

'Battle for Haaland' read the headline on the Spanish news outlet's front page as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea lie in wait for potential developments on his contract situation.

His current club, Borussia Dortmund, deny that there is a €75million release clause that becomes active next season as Der BVB insist he will remain at Signal Iduna Park until 2024.

Mundo Deportivo report that the 'fallen' Reds eye a summer rejuvenation as their title defence remains in tatters following their poor home form and midseason slump.

Monday's 1-0 win over Wolves saw them move to within five points of the European places as Diogo Jota inflicted pain on his former employers.

It was reported that the champions may sacrifice one of their current front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah.

Mane's poor league form continued at Molineux with his run without a goal stretching to seven Premier League games.

Brazil international, Firmino, has been tipped with demotion or an Anfield exit in recent weeks following a number of wasted opportunities and his barren run in front of goal which as a result has seen fans call out for an out-and-out number nine.

Salah's immediate future at Anfield remains a hot topic amid murmurs of discontent with the Egyptian. His premature substitution in the defeat to Chelsea prompted a cryptic tweet from his agent

The speculation surrounding the Norwegian wonderkid continues, with no development, but Liverpool remain a club fiercely linked with the Dortmund man.
