Liverpool posted a £46million pre-tax loss to their accounts on Tuesday. With the majority of it stemming from the Covid-19 Pandemic and the impact that has had on the clubs finances.

Even though this is a big loss for the club, reports from the Daily Mail are saying this will not affect Ibrahima Konaté joining the Reds for £40million in the summer.

In the same report, it also says that Liverpool are looking to sell Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi in the summer to help reshape this struggling Liverpool side. Even though fans will be disappointed that we once again have to sell players to sign players, Origi and Shaqiri have fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp in recent years so it won't be a massive loss to the squad.

With the pair only managing to play a total of 704 minutes combined this season they will most likely be sold so Liverpool can afford a solid Georginio Wijnaldum replacement. Reports from multiple sources have had Liverpool linked with Brighton's Yves Bissouma and Borussia Mönchengladbach's Florian Neuhaus all season. Bissouma and Neuhaus will most likely cost upwards of £40million this summer.

No matter who departs or joins Anfield this summer, it looks like there is going to a be a big shake up of the squad after a very lackluster season. Fans will surely be looking for big name signing like Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland or Jadon Sancho but by the looks of it they will only be happening if some of our big name players get sold.
