Report: Liverpool In Lead To Sign Club Brugge’s Dutch Winger Noa Lang

A report has surfaced suggesting that Liverpool are ‘in the front row’ in the race to sign Netherlands and Club Brugge winger Noa Lang.

Noa Lang

Liverpool Leading Race For Lang

According to Italian publication Calciomercato, AC Milan’s Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara spoke to the players representatives during the international break.

The Italian pair were told however that Liverpool are in the driving seat when it comes to a transfer for a player valued at £22.5million by Transfermarkt.

After a brilliant first season at the Belgian club when he scored 17 goals, Lang has also made a good start to this campaign. scoring four goals and assisting five times already.

The winger has also helped the team surprise many with a promising start to the Champions League group stages.

“I am realistic when it comes to these things. If an impossible to refuse offer comes in for him, we won’t be able to stop him in January. I’d rather he finishes the season, takes a title and is important, but we’ll see what happens in January,”

LFCTR Verdict

This potential transfer ticks a number of boxes - age, price, speed and goal contributions to name but a few.

Whilst right footed, Lang has primarily been used on the left side of the attack but has also made appearances through the middle and on the right.

This versatility is something Jurgen Klopp looks for in his forward players.

There are a lot of things therefore to suggest that this rumour cannot be dismissed and is one to watch.
