Liverpool Target Dusan Vlahovic Contract Talks Collapse
It is being reported today that contract talks between Fiorentina and Dusan Vlahovic have collapsed.
This is an exciting development as the Serbian international was strongly linked with a move away from Italy in the summer with the Reds one of the teams linked.
A few days back Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso told TMW he was concerned about the deal.
“I don’t know if Vlahovic will sign a new deal. We offered him €40m gross salary paid in five years, the biggest contract in Fiorentina history, more than Batistuta and Rui Costa. He’s taking a big risk - I’m getting nervous…”
There are further developments today however as Commisso issued an open letter to Fiorentina supporters on the club website.

"During my time in Florence over the past few weeks, I have personally endeavoured to find a solution that would make both the player and the club happy, but I am disappointed to say that our efforts and attempts have not been rewarded.
"We also improved our offer on a number of occasions in order to accommodate the requests of both Dusan and his entourage. However, despite our efforts, those offers have not been accepted,"
"At this point, all that we can do is acknowledge the wishes of the player and his entourage and quickly identify feasible, appropriate solutions as we proceed with this exciting new season."
It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds over the coming weeks and whether Vlahovic is someone who is made available by La Viola when the transfer window re-opens in January.
