After much criticism received from fans of Manchester United and fans from other clubs, Ole Gunnar Solskjær has made improvements with the side in comparison to when he first took over at Old Trafford. Solskjær must be given credit for having faith in his younger players and it has paid off with some. One such player that could definitely fit in well with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood had an incredible senior debut season with United, scoring 10 goals in 31 appearances. The England international soon became a player that was heavily relied on when the team were struggling to dig out results and went on to win more than one game for Manchester United in his first season.
He also had an excellent showing in his first season playing European football scoring five goals in nine Europa League matches. The Bradford born forward has continued his good form this season scoring five goals in 27 league appearances for the Red Devils.
Greenwood has been capped once by England and continues to give Gareth Southgate a selection headache with his recent form. At just 19 years of age, Greenwood has already displayed attributes of a quality experienced player and he presents all the hallmarks of a player that would perfectly suit Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.
For the moment this young man might not be moving anywhere but he is definitely a player Liverpool should not take their eyes off.
