Manchester City play their fourth consecutive home game in the hopes of going top of the Premier League, albeit temporarily, for the first time this season. Today's opposition is high-flying Aston Villa, who have had a COVID hit winter.

Here's how Pep Guardiola's lined his side up for this one.

Ederson didn't have a save to make on Sunday, but I think he'll be kept on his toes by Jack Grealish and co in the blustery conditions this afternoon. At right-back, Kyle Walker continues his role, looking to nullify the threat of John McGinn. Joao Cancelo is brought back in but switched to left-back in place of Oleksandr Zinchenko. With the injury problems in central defence, it can only be Ruben Dias and John Stones who start.

The dynamic midfield trio returns. After a well earned rest on Sunday, Rodri replaces Fernandinho in the line-up. Ahead of him is the usual pairing of Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne.

Raheem Sterling, fresh from a brilliant free-kick against Crystal Palace, retains his place in the team. There's a recall for Phil Foden, who will operate from the left. And it looks like Bernardo Silva will try and weave his magic up-front.
