Confirmed Match Officials: Newcastle United vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Chris Kavanagh will take charge of on-the-field matters when Manchester City return to action in the Premier League against Newcastle United at St. James Park on Saturday 30th November.
Manchester City will be looking to maintain their run of form in the North East, after the blues defeated Chelsea last weekend as well as securing qualification to the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola’s side ensured the nine point gap with Liverpool didn't grow any further, whilst the draw with Shakhtar Donetsk secured their place as group winners.
Chris Kavanagh (34) will be the man in the middle in Newcastle on Saturday, supported by Sian Massey-Ellis and Gary Beswick as assistant referees. Touchline matters have been affiliated to Oliver Langford.
Kavanagh will be taking charge of his very first match involving Manchester City, since his first appearance in a Premier League game in 2017.
As for the Video Assistant Referees, they will be manned by Andre Marriner (VAR) and Andy Halliday (Assistant VAR). The pair at Stockley Park remain unchanged from the win over Chelsea last weekend.
Match referee Kavanagh will take charge of his 11th Premier League fixture of the season when Manchester City take on Newcastle. So far, Kavanagh has handed out 33 yellow cards in his previous 10 matches, awarding four penalties in the process.
