Manchester City have four representatives included in the England national team squad ahead of the upcoming international fixtures later this month.
Following an official announcement at 2PM on Thursday afternoon, it has been confirmed that Gareth Southgate has selected the following four players from Pep Guardiola's side to join his squad:
John Stones is back in the England national team squad for the first time since November, 2019. Since the World Cup of 2018, Stones has only played six games for Gareth Southgate.
But after an incredible rise this season under Pep Guardiola, one would expect him to further strengthen his claim to being number one choice in his position ahead of the summer.
Full England squad:
Goalkeepers: Henderson, Johnstone, Pope.
Defenders: Chilwell, Coady, Dier, James, Maguire, Mings, Shaw, Stones, Trippier, Walker.
Midfielders: Bellingham, Foden, Lingard, Mount, Phillips, Rice, Ward-Prowse.
Forwards: Calvert-Lewin, Kane, Rashford, Saka, Sterling, Watkins.
Gareth Southgate and his squad are set to embark on three international fixtures at the end of this month, all as part of their 2022 World Cup qualifying process. The three games will be against Albania, Poland, and San Marino.
