Pep Guardiola has told reporters that he's 'pretty sure' young defender Eric Garcia is leaving the club at the end of the season.
The Spaniard seems destined to return to the place he graduated from the world famous La Masia academy - Barcelona. The key point in negotiations now is if he moves in the summer or the current January window.
Speaking to the press, Pep Guardiola has said; "I’m pretty sure he’s going to leave at the end of the season. And [whether he leaves] now in this transfer window will depend on the clubs. We’ll see until the end of the transfer window."
All the reports have suggest it'll be the summer when Garcia finally makes the move. The two clubs are struggling to agree a fee, with City valuing one of their academy jewels at a much higher price then Barcelona want to play.
City did want to extend Garcia's contract last season, but the 20-year-old has his heart set on a move back to Spain. But, if they can't agree on a fee soon, the Blues will still have Garcia on their books for six months more.
