Leroy Sane is still wanting to join Bayern Munich, while the German club still retain their interest in the Manchester City winger despite his long-term injury, according to Sky Sports in Germany.
Manchester City have lined up Real Sociedad winger Mikel Oyarzabal as a potential replacement for Leroy Sane, who still wants to leave the club for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich with the club maintaining talks with the winger through intermediary contact Giovanni Branchini.
Following the winger's interest in leaving the Etihad Stadium, officials at City are preparing for life after, with clear interest in Spain international Mikel Oyarzabal - who has been linked with a move to England throughout last summer and in recent weeks.
The most recent link, relayed by Sport Witness, came from Spanish newspaper SPORT, who suggested the Sociedad man was of 'great interest' to Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain. The report went one step further by stating he would be the player chosen if Sane was to make the move to Germany.
