Football Insider has revealed that both Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in signing Leeds United’s Henri Kumwenda.
The 18-year-old forward has overcome recent injury problems and delivered exceptional performances at youth level. Kumwenda’s situation is in doubt as the Championship club are yet to offer him a professional contract, although it is believe one is set to be offered immediately - despite concerns that the teenager will not sign the deal.
Arsenal, Manchester City and (as Football Insider revealed last week) Liverpool all have the resources to make a compelling offer to tempt the youngster away from Elland Road.
The young forward was the stand-out player in recent youth cup wins against fellow Championship sides Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday. Kumwenda even scored the winning penalty in the latter tie, which sealing Leeds' place in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.
