Manchester City academy product Lukas Nmecha needs to do more to impress his loan club Wolfsburg if he is to convince them to buy him permanently, according to a report from Kicker as relayed by Sport Witness.
The same report from the German newspaper claims Manchester City want €11.5m for the 20-year-old striker. However, Nmecha hasn't made an impression yet for the German side, with no starts, goals or assists in the Bundesliga this season, and they are seriously doubting that he's worth the large price tag Guardiola's club have set.
However, there is good news. Reportedly, manager Oliver Glasner still has faith in Nmecha's ability to come good, and sees him as a versatile forward who can play on the wings. They've also been impressed with his performances on the international stage, where he's managed two goals in his last three games for Germany's U21 side.
Nmecha spent last season on loan at Preston North End, but only managed to bag twice in thirty-six appearances. His contract with City expires in 2021.
