Manchester City are set to announce the latest major financial investment in the club, with the Premier League champions set to unveil their first ever training kit sponsor this week, according to an exclusive report from the Daily Mail.
Pep Guardiola's side have become no strangers to significant financial investments made in the club in recent years, with record-breaking deals struck between the club and the likes of PUMA and most-recently, the US private equity giant, Silver Lake.
However, just over a week after the $500 million investment was made by Silver Lake, Manchester City are set to announce a new major training kit sponsorship deal, according to the Daily Mail. The deal is reported to be worth an unnamed eight-figure sum, and is among the largest sponsorship deals Manchester City have ever negotiated.
The news further adds to the City Football Group's ever-growing financial strength, with CFG now reported to be among the world's most valuable sporting organisations, ahead of city rivals Manchester United.
Adding to this, the players within Manchester City look to move towards the top of the world's most marketable athletes, with Raheem Sterling's profile on a marketing front in particular going from strength to strength this week, following his agreement with retail giants H&M.
UPDATE: It is believed that the sponsor for the PUMA training kit worn by Manchester City's players will come from existing partner of the City Football Group, MarathonBet, according to SportBusiness.
