Reported Manchester City striker target Alexander Isak has admitted that he can 'definitely imagine' playing in England, amid interest from a number of Europe's top European clubs in addition to Pep Guardiola's side.
The Swedish forward is regarded as being one of the most promising forwards in European football at present.
Currently playing his football alongside David Silva at La Liga side Real Sociedad, the 21 year-old has amassed 12 goals and a further two assists in his 24 La Liga appearances so far this season.
Speaking exclusively to Sportbladet recently, Isak addressed rumours linking him with a high-profile move to England and the Premier League in recent weeks, admitting that he 'absolutely' believes that such a move 'is possible'.
"I can definitely imagine playing in England. It is perhaps the best league in the world and it is clear that you always want to stick to top football", the striker opened.
He continued, "I can definitely imagine it, some day, if it becomes relevant. You have to see, but I absolutely believe that it is possible."
However, Isak reaffirmed that for the moment, his focus is firmly on assisting Real Sociedad in finishing their current season in as strong a position as possible.
Isak said, "I'm not thinking so much about a move right now. I just want to keep playing here and end the season as well as possible. I am definitely not thinking about a transfer right now."
It was reported towards the back end of February that Manchester City were considering a move for Isak ahead of the summer transfer window, and while they would continue to keep tabs on the player's progress, Etihad officials could offer cash and a player should they wish to sanction a move.
