Spanish outlet AS are reporting that the Manchester City hierarchy have contacted the player's representatives following his impressive start to the season, as they prepare to strike a deal in the summer transfer window. The club have highlighted Guaita as ‘one of the candidates’ to compete with Ederson next season, should Claudio Bravo decide that he wants to leave.
If Manchester City are to land his signature, then they will face competition from another Premier League club in West Ham - who have also made their interest known. AS says amid this interest, Vicente Guaita is only focused on Crystal Palace and is not interested in hearing offers at this moment in time.
With his contract expiring in 2021, Sport Witness notes that Crystal Palace are eager to put an extension in place and are expected to hold meetings with Guaita's representatives in the near future.
