Manchester City youngster Benjamin Garre has had a medical with his new club Racing in Argentina, and is expected to be confirmed 'before the end of the year', according to El Dia as relayed by Sport Witness.
The Argentine forward joined Manchester City in 2016 from Velez Sarsfield and was tipped to become a future first team star. Since his move, the winger hasn't progressed at the rate the club expected and now is looking to move back to his home country.
The signing of Garre was the subject of an investigation from the Court of Arbitration for Sport, when the Blues were ultimately cleared of any wrong-doing in acquiring the youngster.
El Dia's report pictures Benjamin Garre undergoing his medical, however, they have no knowledge of wherever the player completed the medical or even know the details of the potential transfer.
Manchester City will want to give more opportunities for upcoming players in the current academy; so losing players who haven't reached the potential expected will free up space for others.
