Manchester City have received a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Southampton this weekend, with Angeliño's injury in the Carabao Cup not being as serious as first feared, according to an exclusive report by the Sun.
The Spanish full-back was forced off the field with 11 minutes to go in Tuesday night's Carabao Cup clash with Southampton, with what many feared was a strain or damage to his hamstring. It has now been revealed that Angeliño was in fact suffering from cramp, and should be available for selection for the weekend's clash against the same side on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola will be relieved by the news, with a heavy injury list already effecting team selections in a crunch period for the Premier League champions. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Rodrigo recently joined Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte on the sidelines, with all four players set to a miss the trip to Anfield a week on Sunday.
