Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been named as the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for February, after contributing heavily to a solid winning run during the second month of the calendar year.
The German midfielder appeared in seven of Pep Guardiola's side's eight games, scoring four goals in a month that saw Manchester City win all of their fixtures and continue their dream of winning an unprecedented quadruple.
Ilkay Gundogan provided match-winning performances against two of the big six during the month, with goals against both Liverpool and Tottenham. His brace in both clashes took his overall tally for the campaign so far up to 13 goals - a career best for the Germany international.
The 30 year-old has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month ahead of his Manchester team-mate Ederson - who registered an assist for the German in the win over Jose Mourinho's side, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Jesse Lingard, and Luke Shaw.
Although March has not got off to the best start with the defeat to Manchester United on the weekend, Manchester City and Ilkay Gundogan will certainly be hoping to continue their drive for all four trophies as the season edges towards the business end.
City have three different competitions to compete in during the remainder of March alone, with Everton in the FA Cup quarter-final, Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League last-16 second-leg and a whole host of Premier League games awaiting before the international break.
