Pep Guardiola left fans in stitches this weekend, after the Manchester City manager was temporarily distracted by one journalist's moustache during the pre-match press conference ahead of his side's trip to Arsenal.
Pre-match press conferences are usually pretty dull affairs, but Guardiola didn't fail to bring a smile on viewers' faces - with an even bigger smile undoubtedly on the face of journalist Fred Caldeira, as he posed a question regarding Fernandinho the City boss.
As Caldeira began putting together his question to the Manchester City manager, Guardiola began to look rather distracted, before interrupting the line of questioning with, "I like your moustache, Fred. You are so attractive, so sexy..."
Writing on social media after the embargoed section of Friday's press conference was revealed for public viewing, Fred Caldeira responded with, "Friday, 02/19/2021: the day Pep Guardiola called my moustache sexy."
What a moment.
And the reception from Manchester City and football supporters on the whole was as expected, with comments ranging from the weird nature of the comment, to general laughter - which is what the reaction should be. Have a laugh.
It certainly makes for a change from the Pep Guardiola we were seeing in press conferences just four months ago, when his City squad were on an abysmal win of form and languishing in the mid-region of the Premier League table.
But with City now 10 points clear at the top and cruising on a 17-game winning streak, while also sitting 16 points clear of the reigning league champions, there is certainly plenty to laugh and smile about for Pep Guardiola.
