Manchester City are one of the three clubs who have identified 17-year-old striker, Sinclair Armstrong a potential target.

Reports from Goal suggest Manchester City want to sign Sinclair Armstrong on a free transfer after his current contract with Queens Park Rangers expires this summer.

The reports further suggest that alongside City, Celtic and Crystal Palace also have their sights set on Armstrong. The teenager is considered as 'one of the finest talents' from the Republic of Ireland. He made his professional debut at 15 for Shamrock Rovers back in 2018.

He has also featured regularly in the U-17 team of Ireland and has built his reputation as a 'powerful' striker. Last year, Armstrong moved to QPR in October but only signed a deal until June 2021.

After losing Bright Osayi-Samuel to Fenerbahce, QPR will look to keep Armstrong at the club. He is yet to make a first-team appearance for Mark Warburton, however with that said, the Championship side has the trio of City, Celtic, and Crystal Palace targeting the Irishman.

Manchester City's Academy have enjoyed a great deal of success over the last few years in terms of producing world-class players. It would be relatively easy for the club to attract interest from Armstrong. Crystal Palace will also make a strong case of themselves, after attracting exciting youngsters in the past few years.

This month, the forward will be free to sign a pre-contract with the Scottish League side, Celtic. It will be interesting to see what the Irishman decides as we inch closer to the end of the winter transfer window.
