Fluminense forward Kayky has already negotiated with Manchester City on a potential move and is expected to complete the transfer in 2022, according to the latest information to emerge from South America.

His teammate Metinho, also 17 years-old, is expected to start negotiating with the City Football Group soon – with a loan move to the group's French side ES Troyes AC looking increasingly likely.

The young Brazilian duo are making a name for themselves in Série A, with both players at the centre of transfer speculation since breaking into the Fluminense first team this year.

Kayky has been widely reported to have already completed his move to the current Premier League leaders, however both clubs are yet to announce any progress in a deal.

It is expected that the attacker, dubbed the ‘left footed Neymar’, could earn his club a transfer fee of up to $30 million – making him one of the most expensive 17-year-olds in football.

Metinho, who was recently named in The Guardian’s “Next Generation 2020 list of young footballers, is expected to be entering negotiations with City Football Group in the near future, with a loan move to French Ligue 2 leaders Troyes looking likely to be his next destination.
