Reliable Spanish football journalist Gerard Romero has revealed the financial details that Manchester City target Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has requested from Barcelona, if the La Liga club were to attempt to sign the Borussia Dortmund star this summer.
Mino Raiola and Erling Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, travelled around Europe meeting with executives and officials of the main clubs interested in the 20-year-old striker earlier this week.
The pair made confirmed stops in Barcelona and Madrid, and were reported to be on their way to London to meet with a host of Premier League clubs looking to secure Erling Haaland’s signature.
According to Gerard Romero, agent Mino Raiola has requested the following staggering figures from Barcelona in order to see the deal over the line, and one would expect similar demands to be made of other potential suitors.
- €20 million to be paid to Mino Raiola
- €20 million to be paid to Alf-Inge Haaland
- A wage package of €30 million net per season to be paid to Erling Haaland
- Plus the transfer fee, reported to be a minimum of €150 million, paid to Borussia Dortmund
If the reports are to be believed, these figures could be what Erling Haaland’s representatives are expecting from the Premier League clubs as well.
According to Pep Guardiola, who was speaking prior to his squad's impressive 2-0 victory over Leicester City this weekend, the aforementioned prices may just knock Manchester City out of the race for the striking phenom.
“We are not going to sign any striker, it's impossible – we cannot afford it", was the line from Pep Guardiola.
