Despite interest from Manchester City and Barcelona, Inter Milan appear reluctant to sell star striker Romelu Lukaku, according to information relayed by popular fan site SiempreInter.
The forward has an impressive goal tally of 19 in 26 Serie A games this season.
That kind of form spurred the turning of heads from some of the big hitters in European Football.
Manchester City have expressed interest in the Belgian as a potential replacement for Sergio Aguero, who is set to leave the Premier League club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
While Romelu Lukaku emerged as one of the names on Manchester City’s short list, along with Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, Tottenham's Harry Kane, and even recently Southampton's Danny Ings, it appears Inter are not willing to entertain any offers for their star man.
Inter are on course to win their first Serie A title since 2010, and with Romelu Lukaku as the talisman in that title push, the Milan club will look to keep a hold of their star man going into next season’s apparent title defence.
The expectation from those surrounding Manchester City is that the club will push ahead with plans to secure a marquee striker this summer - an approach similar to the way Etihad officials went about securing a top-level central defender in the last summer market.
