Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has decided to keep his lips sealed when it comes to his club’s reported interest in Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who will leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the current season.

Since Manchester City’s announcement that Sergio Aguero will in fact leave the club, the rumour mill has begun to spin furiously.

Along with Barcelona, Benfica, and Inter Milan, recent reports have emerged linking Manchester City’s all-time leading scorer with a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Thomas Tuchel is not willing to give any legs to the rumours at this point in the season.

As per quotes relayed by Absolute Chelsea, the Chelsea boss had this say when asked about his club’s interest in the Argentine:

"You can ask but it's the same answer as Haaland. We have full respect for Manchester City and Sergio Aguero, who is a big player for them."

He continued, "There is no words needed for me about the achievements of this guy, he is a world-class player. But we have three competitions in which we are in with Manchester City so I will not speak about their player."

It is certain that the rumour mill will continue to turn in regards to Sergio Aguero, however, in typical managerial fashion, Thomas Tuchel is unwilling to add fuel to this particular fire.
