Real Madrid's 2016 Club World Cup trophy
On 18 December, 2016, Real Madrid won their fifth Club World Cup trophy. The Whites beat Kashima Antlers (4-2) in an exciting final that was decided in extra time. Karim Benzema put Madrid ahead, but the Japanese team turned the score around with two goals from Shibasaki. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equaliser from the penalty spot. In extra time, the Portuguese scored another two goals decisive goals for Real Madrid to win the Club World Cup.
