Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero juggling at Yankee Stadium. Aguero lofting alley oops at The Rucker. It's about as Manchester City/New York Yankees as New York City FC gets.
In a Nike-Brazil-at-the-airport-like montage, the likes of Manchester City's Toure, Aguero, Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart, Samir Nasri, Matija Nastatic, Gael Clichy, James Milner and David Silva took to the streets of New York to promote Major League Soccer's 20th franchise -- co-owned by the Premier League club and the Major League Baseball power -- which is set to debut in 2015.
The Manchester City stars also hit New York landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge and The Highline in Manhattan as part of a "Join the Movement" promotional campaign, as the club looks to build momentum over the next year-plus before putting an actual team on the field (and just where that initial home field will be -- ahem, Yankee Stadium -- remains a hot point of contention while soccer-specific stadium plans are being sorted out).
