Bayern Munich was in danger of seeing its undefeated Bundesliga campaign come to an end against Stuttgart. Claudio Pizarro saw to it that the defending European and FIFA Club World Cup champions would at least salvage a draw. And then Thiago Alcantara made sure that Bayern swooped for all three points. And how.

Thiago, Pep Guardiola's summer signing from Barcelona, connected for an incredible flying, sidewinding scissor kick, displaying top technique and athleticism to deliver a 93rd-minute road winner for the runaway Bundesliga leaders, who emerged with the 2-1 result.

Rafinha clipped a ball into the area, where Thiago flung himself airborne and connected with aplomb to send Stuttgart home empty-handed when it looked like the struggling side might just come through with a landmark performance.
