With Bayern Munich locked in a scoreless (but far from action-less) draw at the Emirates, Toni Kroos conjured up old memories with a new twist.

Kroos uncorked a wicked bending blast from the edge of the area, scoring in London for the second straight Champions League campaign and putting defending champion Bayern on its way to a 2-0 win over 10-man Arsenal. Backup goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski stood no chance of stopping the shot, and with Thomas Muller tallying in the final stages, the Gunners find themselves in a big hole heading back to Germany, just like last season.

Kroos narrowly missed a second goal, hitting the post in the late stages, but he did more than enough to help Bayern place one foot in the quarterfinals.
