Whichever goal from this past weekend wins MLS Goal of the Week will surely be a worthy victor. And it will also leave at least six other incredibly worthy candidates in its wake.

The MLS weekend slate offered an epic selection of top-shelf goals, ranging from Colorado Rapids newcomer Jose Mari's two blinders within three minutes; to all four of Portland's goals (including two by Diego Chara -- who hadn't scored in September 2011) in a riveting, yet disappointing 4-4 draw with rival Seattle; to the LA Galaxy's one-touch build-up clinic that led to Baggio Husidic's game-icing goal against Chivas USA.
