It only took Cristiano Ronaldo five minutes to come up with another stunning strike on Saturday, this time against Osasuna in La Liga. Ronaldo gave his team an early lead in the league match, cutting in from the left wing and unleashing a blast from just outside the penalty area.

After receiving a diagonal ball from the opposite flank off Marcelo's foot, Ronaldo dribbled forward cautiously. As the Osasuna defenders continued to back off and give him space, he put his head down and struck a right-footed shot that rose above his opponents and goalkeeper Andrés Fernández before dipping ferociously inside the far post.

It was the seventh consecutive league game in which Ronaldo has scored, matching his career-highest streak. (He has never reached eight games in a row.)

UPDATE: Ronaldo did it again at the start of the second half. He doubled his personal tally and Real Madrid's lead over Osasuna from a similar spot.

This time, he cut a little farther to the inside and was followed a little more closely by a defender, but he still had enough space to strike another shot inside the far post. He didn't need any dip on his second effort — the ball arrowed into the top corner, leaving Fernández helpless once again.
