Timmy Chandler is going back to where it all began.

Chandler, a potential starter for the U.S. men's national team at the World Cup this summer, has transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt, where his club career began. The 24-year-old fullback had moved from Frankfurt to Nurnberg in 2010, and remained with the club until this season. Nurnberg was relegated, though, and for Chandler to remain in the Bundesliga, a move was required.

A Frankfurt native, Chandler will return home following the World Cup. He has signed a three-year deal, locking him up through 2017. Eintracht Frankfurt finished in 13th place in Germany's top flight this past season.
