The World Cup had its first major upset on Saturday as Costa Rica prevailed in a 3-1 win over Uruguay as a +850 soccer betting underdog.

With that win and the Netherlands' rout of Spain the day before, there have been plenty of early surprises in the 2014 World Cup. Group E and Group F will be in action on Sunday.

Watch for all the latest World Cup odds and changing future betting lines.

Group E: Switzerland vs. Ecuador

With France expected to advance out of Group E and Honduras expected to be the weakest link in the group, this head-to-head matchup between Switzerland and Ecuador could have huge implications on which team advances into the knockout stage.

Switzerland is a +140 favorite on the three-way line, with Ecuador paying +210 and a draw paying +220. The pick’em odds have Switzerland at -140 and Ecuador at +115. The total is set at two goals.

Switzerland is known as a great defending squad, while Ecuador is known for pushing the pace on offense. The team that is able to control the tempo will likely come out on top.

Switzerland will try to maintain possession and play strong defensively while Ecuador will look to turn the game into a shootout. Switzerland is favored as it is considered more likely to control play, but it could go either way.

Group E: France vs. Honduras

France had a disastrous World Cup in 2010, and gets a favorable matchup to start off 2014 on a better foot. France is a -330 favorite over Honduras, which is +1100 to upset France and +400 to force a draw. France is a -1.5 (+110) favorite on the two-way line over Honduras (-130).

While this is a favorable matchup for France on paper, it is one that the team cannot afford to take for granted. Honduras had a great defensive performance through the qualifying round, and France has some question marks on offense entering World Cup action.

With winger Franck Ribery out of the tournament with an injury, France will need the rest of its attacking nucleus to provide Karim Benzema scoring chances.

The total is set at 2.5 goals, with the Under favored at -140 over the Over (+115).

Group F: Argentina vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina

Argentina is a World Cup favorite going off at 4/1 to win the tournament, and bettors will have their first look at the high-powered squad in World Cup action against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday. Argentina is a -300 favorite to win the game over Bosnia-Herzegovina (+800), with draw odds going off at +430.

Argentina is also a -1.5 (+110) favorite over Bosnia-Herzegovina +1.5 (-130)

Bosnia-Herzegovina is considered by many to be the second best team in Group F, and is led by an excellent striker in Edin Dzeko. But on paper the squad appears to be outclassed by Argentina, which is loaded up front with Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain.

It will take a Herculean effort to keep this Argentina offense at bay. The total is set at 2.5 goals, with the Over going off as the favorite at -130 over the Under (+110).
