After unanimously agreeing to contact training a day prior, Premier League shareholders once again held a digital conference and provisionally agreed to restart the league on June 17. It will kick off with both Aston Villa at home against Sheffield United. 

In addition, pending of course on the pandemic’s decline and the easing of international travel restrictions, Champions League and Europa League fixtures will soon follow. Games will be played without fans and the league stressed that June 17 is a "provisional" date, and it cannot be confirmed until safety requirements have taken place. 

There is still much to be finalized as its still unclear where these matches will take place but at least, the returning date looks to be finally set.
