We've already learned about Jessica Gomes' love of Grand Prix racing, appearance on Korean Dancing With the Stars and her desire to be a "badass rapper," but we learned even more about the Australian model when we interviewed her for SwimDaily. Here are some of the highlights:
On her start in modeling: "I was definitely a tomboy growing up. My mother put me into grooming and deployment classes because she was like 'you need to start acting like a lady.' So I started doing fashion shows and TV commercials. I got scouted by an Australian agency and I started traveling to Asia to work and then came to America."
On her tattoos: "I do have tattoos. This tattoo (on left arm) is of my parent's names. I also have "love" (on right wrist). It's all my own handwriting. I just started writing "love" all the time and I just thought it'd be cool to have love written on my wrist."
On her first memories of SI Swimsuit: "I did not look at swimsuit issue until I turned 17. I remember hearing about it because I idolized Elle Macpherson and I remember seeing all her old covers. And I just remember thinking, 'Wow, I'd love to do that.'"
