Two models. One challenge. And the winner is...Hilary Rhoda!
In the first-ever Fitbit Celebrity Challenge, the activity-tracker company challenged two of SI Swimsuit's own to a fitness challenge for the ages. Current SI Swimsuit rookie Erin Heatherton and three-time SI Swimsuit alum Hilary Rhoda were faced with the task of sweating it out in a five-day step challenge, to get their name on Fitbit's donation to the American Heart Association.
Already known for their bangin' bods, our girls were up for the challenge, working towards the normal Fitbit goal of 10,000 steps per day, plus some. Fans were also encouraged to get involved by donating $1 to earn their favorite girl an additional 10 steps toward their step total.
“Through Celebrity Challenges, Fitbit and AHA are making it fun and engaging for anyone to take an active, charitable role in helping to raise awareness and funds to fight cardiovascular disease and stroke,” said Bernie Dennis, Chairman of the American Heart Association. “Friendly competition is a huge motivator and through participation from high-profile celebrities, we’re able to inspire people to move more and give back to a critical cause that impacts millions of Americans.”
Erin and Hilary both put in the hard work (on the pavement and on social media!), but there could only be one winner. With 104,613 steps to Erin Heatherton's 75,645 steps, Hilary Rhoda was the clear winner.
Congrats, Hilary, for winning the inaugural Fitbit Celebrity Challenge!
