Gael Monfils is the Lord of the Dance

Monday December 19th, 2011

Is it really any surprise that we've been blessed with not one, but two videos of Gael Monfils dancing during the offseason? The Frenchman's eccentric style was made for the exhibition season and he's capitalizing, having already played in France, Barbados and, most recently, Argentina.

Check him out freestyling to the ever-ubiquitous LMFAO (seriously? That's a band name?) at an exhibition in Buenos Aires over the weekend.

And here he is with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in an exhibition in France, doing what we'll go ahead and assume is a choreographed routine from a French music video. Is it odd that I'm more impressed by how into it Tsonga seems to be?

***** I'm beginning to think that if one were to burrow deep into the mind of Monsieur Monfils, all you'd hear is Party Rock Anthem cranked to 11. I am, as always, open to alternative suggestions. But for now, it's my operating theory.
