Watch: Roger Federer somehow lobs over 6-foot-10 Ivo Karlovic

By C.W. Sesno,

How did this happen? Roger Federer added another shot to his highlight reel in his third-round win over Ivo Karlovic. Federer is a master of angles, but I've had to watch this a few times to figure out how this lob got past the 6-foot-10 Karlovic. The big-serving Croat charged the net after a serve and played a pretty nice finesse volley that dropped within two feet of the net. When he saw Federer was going to get to it, he took a few steps in to try to block the shot. No luck. It's like Muggsy Bogues hitting a floater in the lane over Gheorghe Muresan. Or conversely, like Nate Robinson blocking Yao Ming. Possible, but still leaves you scratching your head.
