Roger Federer suits up for Brazil
Roger Federer is pulling out all the stops in support of his scheduled exhibition in Brazil. "The Gillette Federer Tour," which will visit Colombia and Brazil, will be in São Paulo on Dec. 6-8. Joined in Brazil by Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Thomaz Bellucci, Bruno Soares, Marcelo Melo and Mike and Bob Bryan, the series of exhibition events will mark the first time Federer has played in South America.
So what better way to prime the pump for crowd support than to don the Brazilian national team uniform and give the locals a glimpse at how natural an athlete Federer would have been regardless of what sport he played?
Volleyball? Check. Have you seen his overhead smashes? The guy's agility, hands and explosive leaping would have served him well.
And of course, The Beautiful Game. The balletic footwork would have been fun to see on the pitch. It's not like the guy needs his hands to dominate a sport. He basically plays tennis with one arm anyway.
Here's a clip of Federer showing off some keep-up skills in Rome.
