Wimbledon Day 2 photos: Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic cruise
WIMBLEDON, England -- Rafael Nadal's stunning loss to Steve Darcis rocked Wimbledon on Day 1, but the top seeds advanced in mostly routine fashion on Tuesday.
Included in those straightforward victories were No. 1s Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic. Williams, the defending champion, dispatched Mandy Minella 6-1, 6-3 in the first match on Centre Court. Djokovic, the 2011 winner, followed with a highly entertaining display of all-court tennis in a 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Florian Mayer.
Only one top 10-seed fell on Day 2, and the home crowd was thankful for that result. British No. 1 Laura Robson, 19, ousted No. 10 Maria Kirilenko 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the second round of Wimbledon for the second time.

Bernard Tomic: The Aussie played superbly early to take a two-set lead on No. 21 Sam Querrey, only to get woozy under the midday sun. He eventually won 7-6 (8), 7-6 (3), 3-6, 2-6, 6-3. "I felt very bad out there," Tomic said. "Lost my energy. And that I think was due to I didn't eat as much in the morning. I think I only had a little bit of breakfast. By the time I know it, I was playing and I didn't really eat before. It was a nightmare out there the third and fourth." (Ben Stansall/AFP/Getty Images)
Tomas Berdych: OK, seriously, everybody needs to stop falling down. No. 7 Berdych defeated Martin Klizan 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. (Carl Court/AFP/Getty Images)
