Video: Rafael Nadal hits the shot of the day at the U.S. Open

Tuesday August 27th, 2013

It didn't take too long for Rafael Nadal to get warmed up for his U.S. Open campaign.

In the first game of his first-round match, Nadal chased down Ryan Harrison's overhead and slammed it right back for a winner to earn a break point. It would surprise no one if this ends up being the shot of the tournament.

In fact, it sure looks a lot like this classic shot by Roger Federer against Andy Roddick in Basel in 2002:

Needless to say, Twitter lit up:

Nadal went on to beat Harrison 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 16-0 on hard courts this year.
