To steal one of Adidas' catch phrases, the big labels went "all in" at the Sony Open. Nike and Adidas swapped in new kits for its players as the spring season begins. Nike decided to play the Easter card with its color palette; Adidas simplified and streamlined its entire line for the women while still leaving some room for creativity.
But for all the quality gear coming from the big dogs, leave it to Venus Williams' EleVen label to steal the show.

Venus Williams: Easily the best look she's had in years and my vote for the best kit at the Sony Open. It fits well, looks light and fresh, and it would look perfectly normal off the court as well. (Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)
Li Na: Nike went with baby blue, white and orange colors for most of its new kits, but the whole look came together best for Li. (Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)
Andrea Petkovic, Ana Ivanovic, Caroline Wozniacki: Adidas rolled out a new series of kit for both its men and women, which surprised in its complete simplicity. Each player was given the same simple tank top and skirt in a variety of colors, meaning they could all express themselves in whichever color palate they chose. The result was a very clean, modern and simple look. I liked it, if for no other reason than it rescued Wozniacki from yet another Stella McCartney disaster. Grigor Dimitrov: This orange-heavy Nike kit didn't work on everyone -- Ryan Harrison somehow made the kit look oppressive in the heat -- but the casual look, pairing plaid shorts with a baseball-style top, looked sharp on Dimitrov. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Sara Errani, Lucie Safarova: There are two kinds of tennis outfits. Ones that make you think, "Oh, that's a really pretty kit that the professionals wear" and, "Oh, I would totally buy that!" These Nike separates fall into the latter. I can already imagine local-club-playing women decked out like Safarova. (Getty Images)
